Ladies, is it hard to find girlfriends?

Girl friends, as in to shop around with, go to movies, drive around, dying each others hair. I had only 4 my entire existence. As far as I got was walking around at a mall ONCE 🥲 the latest was going to the movies one time and never hanging out again cuz she is busy, moving to a diff state.
All my life I had predominantly guy friends and most of them actually liked me (not surprised). I dont like having all guy friends as that looks rlly bad if i want to be in a relationship? I actually TRIED to make plans to go shopping with a girl but she BAILED on me. She said she would like to go, but never showed up that day! She said her “phone wasn't working” but she knew what day and time 😒
What is the secret? I envy those girl groups at the shopping centers 😔

I gave up on trying to find girl friends years ago! I just seem to get along better with guys than girls. But unlike you, my guy friends are literally just that: friends that have no romantic or sexual interest in me, so it works out in my favor.

I've tried making girl friends in the past- NEVER works out. They are usually catty, gossip, full of drama, talk about me behind my back, flaky, or wasn't there when I needed them, yet I was supposed to jump when they needed them.

Nah, I'm good, lol. I'm not saying all women that way, but it seems it's hard to find decent women friends. I just talk to whomever wants to get to know me, and I judge them accordingly: male or female. And hope for the best.

Most of those women you see in groups that seem like best buds? Secretly hate each other, or are competitive with each other. But they use each other to get what they want.

I feel better thats its not just me! I admire guy friend groups as they hav an unbreakable bond compared to women. It just kinda stinks that i can’t share women stuff with anyone.
That day when i went to the movies with a friend was very exciting and i was in joy after that day ☺️ that experience was the same feeling when I asked out my boyfriend and he said yes.

Nah yeah. That’s kinda why I prefer not to deal with women in general unfortuantely. I don’t really ever invite any on dates.

The ones who won’t talk about you behind your back, try to steal your boyfriend, or only want you around for temporary attention? Yes. I gave up on genuine friends long ago. My true friends were in preschool and elementary. The people i met in middle school, high school, and college were NOT IT.

Yea thats what i dont want. Gotta choose ur friends wisely and thats true people in elementary were very innocent and so easy to make friends.
I know mean girls they didn't like eachother and used each other for benefits but i liked how they did things together

Nah the people in my elementary were far from innocent. Lots of bullies but i had the same crew by my side who had my back from kindergarten through 6th grade until i moved away.

From what I hear from my lady friends is that women don’t get along with other women. Drama always seems to ensue and they end up hating each other. My daughter and her friends are the same way. She comes home pissed because of something her friend did or said. She ‘breaks up’ and then a month or so later they are back to being friends until some drama brews and they are back at it again. And it’s the same story with other women I know.

I'm confident, good at making conversation, and unique in my ideas so I attract new people easily but I don't like to socialize a lot cause I feel intimidated when I'm around very intelligent people. I find the pressure of trying to look good in public exhausting so I try not to put myself out there.

It's always hard. People who gossip and don't have your back when you need support, those aren't friends. You have many of those around. But actual friends are hard to find. Real friends are Always hard to find.

OMG it is! IRL it's really hard, it's even hard online. I have been trying to find people to chat with even here but it's almost impossible.
