Please enlighten me of this positive trait. Are men not capable of making a house a home?
I dont know for sure but it sounds like she wants to be a stay at home wife/mother who looks after the house while you work, have a meal ready for you, etc... just like one of the other answers, a traditional woman. Either that or someone who just doesn't wanna work.

Means that she puts in work to create a loving and comfortable environment. Think of it as her saying she's heartfelt or attentive. Whether or not you value that in a person is up to you though. (Yes, men are also capable of this, but one person doing something doesn't devalue another person also doing that thing.)

Look this is my problem. I completely understand what you are saying. Yes, a woman can make the house a home but that's not what most people do. Modern women say this just so they can decorate the place.
If you want to make a house a home you need to provide a man some sort of peace. This is how you provide peace. Here is a short list:
1. Don't ask for too much or Nag him
2. Cook
3. Clean
4. Sex
5. Fun activities like board games, etc.
6. Ask about his Day and Be useful
Decorations and moving furniture around does not count as making a house a home.
And a man can do all of those things for a woman too. I would just like for a woman to verbalize and explain what they mean when they say that. - +1 y
I never said anything about redecorating lol, you did. I explained what I thought she meant when she said that, if you have a different interpretation then it's up to you to clarify with the person you were talking to. It she meant redecorating and you don't care for someone to redecorate your home as a show of affection then chalk it up to incompatibility and move on. It sounds like you do have a clear idea of what you want from a partner, so go find that person and worry less about the places you don't find it.

It's an empty comment. Let's be honest. Y'all expect men to bring real things while y'all can only name soft traits.
- +1 y
@DontBeBitter I mean not really. If you're asking "what do you bring to this relationship" which is generally what I would interpret "what do you bring to the table" in the context of a date to mean, then I'd say explaining your emotional and social presence is meaningful. Unless you were actually asking about her financial resources because you needed a co-signer for a loan or something?
Besides, I'm not currently married/in a relationship, but I fully expect to contribute to household funds, home maintenance, etc and would find it weird if a guy tried to stop me. I, and most women besides, do not expect to only bring "soft traits" to a committed relationship, but if my man can't bring some "soft traits" such as kindness and consideration, he's probably not my man. Just saying.
The answers on this post are the most sexist I've ever read from both guys and girls. Very surprising and upsetting really. There's like no understanding
Just my opinion

@KateDemee It's not sexist its fact. Women should bring something to the table. That's the main problem with modern women. they are truthfully too lazy to be a part of any good relationship.
They should honestly accept the traditional ways of being a woman. Women need to learn how to be feminine. It's not sexist its fair. Men are looking for fair trades. We ARE NOT looking for rude and delrious women who don't add any value to our lives.

A house is sterile, functional and a bit cold in appearance. A home is something people will long for when away and fight to get back to if barred from it. There is a big difference. I think you have to experience a home for a while to know the difference.

I think you don't know when a female is admitting that she has nothing to offer.

It means she is a traditional woman... if you are not a traditional man she is not for you.

1. PEACE
2. GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE PARTNER
3. COOKING
4. CLEANING
5. FUN ACTIVITIES (BOARD GAMES, Movies, etc.)
6. ABUNDANCE OF Sex.
7. Spend time doing Activities that he likes.
Women are no longer working hard in relationships. They get lazy and sit down on good men all the time.
Most women don't bring anything to the table but pussy... used at that. - +1 y

- I want a great mother.
- Someone I can laugh with and share hard times with
- Someone who is strong but jot that fake feminist “ I aM aStRoNG wOmAn” crap. (My wife has been through truly horrible hardtimes that would break many people and she is a joy of a person to be around with even after all that)
- My best friend
- Plus she has a magic pussy, amazing

Y'all would likely cry about it since y'all expect men to bring all of the material possessions, and if we say anything, it'll be shouted down as "misogyny." Can't even tell women to cook nowadays.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yWomen are nurturing. Making a house feel like home is one of the best gifts a woman can give you. Its like men build the house and women make it a home:)
220 Reply- +1 y
Yeah that doesn't seem to be something very valuable. I can do the same thing as a guy... and do it better.
Opinion Owner+1 yUhm no... thats not natrual to you😂 women are natrually nurtuting... but you believe what you want:). Maybe go for a man then
- +1 y
No no no... I only date women. But hear me out... I can decorate and put pictures on the wall. I can also make other people feel at home.
Besides... if we have no kids, pets, or plants. Who or what is the woman nurturing?
Opinion Owner+1 yi mean why wouldn't you want kids?
- +1 y
I don't want children personally... but that's besides the point.
If we move in together before we have kids she doesn't have anything to nurture. So how does a woman make a house a home? All I'm saying is that I can do the same thing. It's not special at all.
Opinion Owner+1 yI mean if your brain function like a woman then good for you, maybe find a lesbian woman:)

Are you single?

So basically women are freeloaders
- +1 y
Of course you're single. You're another female who can't name anything she brings to the table and gets pissy when a man challenges her.

Opinion Owner+1 yY'll need help... I was stating simple biollogy...

It’s a saying. They decorate/clean and make it “homey”, a pleasant comfortable atmosphere for you and guests. Though I find this an odd question, because you should really ‘want’ to be around them; and not see it as what you get from them.

02 Reply- +1 y
I single man can make a house a home. It does not require two people.
- +1 y
It depends on how you define home. Anywhere you live can be defined as a home, but it implies a home with a family.
Nobody can be their own family, to build a family, you need a partner.
+1 yNo one can make a house a home by themselves.. it will always be just a little bit empty.

01 Reply- +1 y
It's still a home. Women love to make this argument but it's pointless if we don't have kids, pets, or even plants.
You make a house a home by Acts of Service to your significant other...
It means she follows her traditional role, take care of her children, keeps the house clean, makes delicious foods, keeps her medesty, and chastity.🌱🌱
