What does wife material mean?

With this i mean that i've heard a lot of guys saying like ''wife material'' and ''worth to wife up'' and so on.
If you guys find a girl that you really really like and is ''wife material'', Do would you wanna stay with her till you get her AND get to marry her, just stay with her till she's yours for a bit, or is it just a compliment like she is a ''good person''?

Or what do you mean by it?

2. are you easily influenced and manipulated

wife material means a girl who is good enough to marry and spend the rest of our lives with. period. what it means is very simple.
the qualifications for BEING wife material are more in depth and complicated
