Did I befriend a toxic person?

When my dog passed away a few months ago an acquaintance sent me a beautiful floral arrangement for my dog. I thought how nice so we started talking. And most of the days were consumed with talking about herself and I didn’t mind because not many people thought of me when I lost my dog of ten years. Slowly I started noticing she would get off work and head right to the casino endlessly talking about money. How much she loses how much she makes then loses and this is a constant thing with her it’s almost nonstop. She’s always bragging about her car or her house which she lied about because she lives with her parents at 55. I am extremely wealthy and never speak about my wealth and I don’t know if she feels the need to speak about money to feel she has An “in” with me but I don’t like people who talk about money. What really caught my eye is my birthday is next week and I bought myself an extremely expensive watch ; and I had it engraved with my passed dogs initials on the inside as I can as I am a watch collector. When I told her the symbolism of the watch. She said to me oh my husband has very very very beautiful watches ( meanwhile does she even know what a Rolex is?) anyway ; that was my only moment of pompous comments. She never once said I’m happy for you ; add to your collection; this is great. It just rubbed me the wrong way that she’s literally always talking about slots and gambling and I mention my bday gift and she’s trashing it left and right. I want to ditch her based off of this. Am I nuts?
