Why are women allowed to get upset at male dating preferences yet men are considered whiners if they complain about female dating preferences?

If you are a man and you complain about female dating preferences then your gripes will fall on deaf ears (at best). Even if people agree with you it’s an exercise in futility to complain. Many people will consider you a bitch, loser, weak, etc. Fair preferences or not you are expected to “man up” to romantic rejection. No one really cares.

However instead of complaining men either just get depressed or look for resolutions. So if you’re short then dress well and get in the best shape you can. If you’re fat then either lose it or at least you better have an awesome personality. If you are introverted then either work on being extroverted (toastmasters, improv, etc) or you should at least get rich.

But you don’t see men wasting their time organizing “short man sufferance” movements that plead to women for romantic attention and more. You don’t see entertainment geared to women pushing short male models. No 5ft chippendales

Yet more and more I see that when women have attributes that most high value men don’t like (being overweight, not shaving legs/armpits, visible tattoos, unnatural hairstyles, posting provocative pics on social media, etc) they complain about like they are being “controlled” by patriarchy or some stupidity. Male dating preferences are just that: preferences. They aren’t law or any sort of “restriction” on woman’s freedoms or some nonsense. Western women have freedom to do whatever you they want to their bodies. But men have the right to be honest about what they find attractive vs. what they don’t.

So why do so many more people have sympathy for females complaining? A great example is all the “plus sized models” you see now in magazines. Most men don’t really want that and yet these women’s complaints get heeded and answered. But more and more women are doubling down on this crap.

Also here is another example of Jonah Hill’s ex girlfriend. My question is WHY is it that she gets headlines for considering Jonah Hill’s dating preferences “emotional abuse”. Why? Just imagine if the roles reversed.

I didn’t get many responses to this one. A bit surprised. And the other people who commented misunderstood the point I am trying to make: why do women get an audience when they complain? Why do so many people listen to them?

That’s not actually what I want. I want people to stop giving sympathy to women who complain about ridiculous issues they CAN control. Often they make stupid decisions and then get upset people react to it.

But just like the rain falls on the just and unjust the “tide” will eventually drown both men AND women. Men will drown first of course given we are expendable. But Mother Nature intended to bound men and women together for companionship and reproduction. You can’t destroy men without eventually harming women.

Also just for the record I am NOT arguing that men should be allowed to complain openly and to get shoulders to cry on like some women do. No.

What I am noticing is more and more “modern” women are soapbox to stand when it comes to complaining about male dating preferences. These are often over things women CAN control (like shaving, not posting whore pics online). Losing weight is difficult but not impossible.

But women reject men over things that are very difficult if not impossible to control (money, height, not being extroverted enough, etc). But guys are taught not to bitch (because they know no one really cares) but instead improve themselves. Also make sure to pass shit tests while you are at it.

So again WHY are more and more people heeding women’s complaints nowadays? I’m no teenager and I too have seen this go from bad to worse.

I get you. I have heard it in both my social circles and work place forever. If a man has a preference or a “type” (particularly if it’s a trait widely regarded as beautiful) he can be very harshly judged. Yet, I have heard countless women feel at ease listing their laundry list of expectations for a man to be worthy of them. It’s definitely a double standard.

Men learn at a young age we have to accept that. But women on the other hand (best example would be bbw women) get a pity party if they don’t get male attention like their skinnier/prettier counterparts do.

It’s why you see “plus sized” models being shoved into the media. Most guys aren’t really attracted to that. But why do people give these women shoulders to cry on? Not saying life is fair and they don’t have it rough. But men who get rejected don’t get shoulders to cry on like women do. We learn to accept it and carry on.
