I am really stumped what to do. I don't have his e transfer email so I can't simply send the amount to him with a note.
But when we originally talked about this fancy hotel we agreed that we'd split the cost. But when I brought it up half way through our time - as we booked for a week (we live 2 hours apart, long distance relationship) - he sloughed it off & simply said I'll get back when I get home. He hasn't.
I want to pay my portion but when his communication hasn't stopped or changed from normal - like it would've if he was annoyed had I not paid - I'm not sure how to broach this lapse without seeming... I don't know... unappericative. Or somehow cheapen our time.
Maybe I'm overthinking it but at the same time I don't want to sort of put my foot in mouth.

It sounds like you're in a tricky situation. It's understandable that you want to pay your portion of the hotel room, but it's also understandable that you don't want to seem unappreciative or cheapen your time together.
One option is to simply send him an e-transfer for the amount you owe him, along with a note explaining that you wanted to pay your share of the hotel room. You could also mention that you're not sure if he's annoyed that you didn't pay sooner, and that you don't want to cheapen your time together.
Another option is to talk to him about it in person or over the phone. You could explain that you wanted to pay your share of the hotel room, and that you're not sure if he's annoyed that you didn't pay sooner. You could also mention that you don't want to cheapen your time together.
Ultimately, the best way to handle this situation is to do what you feel most comfortable with. If you're not sure what to do, you could always ask a friend or family member for advice.

Yes, we're dating.
