Why do girls make broken promises?

A girl That wanted to get to know me became a good friend and we seen each other. She made several promises to do things together most of them didn't happen. Frustrated and hurt

Ugh dude that sucks, broken promises are the worst. With girls sometimes it's hard to know what's really going on in their heads. A few thoughts:

- Girls can be flaky sometimes, even with friends. Their plans and priorities change a lot. It's annoying but probably not personal.

- Maybe she lost interest in hanging but didn't wanna straight up say it. Girls can be indirect about that stuff.

- Could be she was just giving you empty promises to be nice but didn't mean it. We've all done that when we're not really interested.

- Her feelings for you might have changed too once you actually spent time together. It happens.

I wouldn't take it too personally, as much as it hurts. Some girls just aren't good at being reliable. Try talking to her about it if you really wanna know what's up, otherwise might be best to let it go. Don't invest too much in someone who breaks plans - find a girl you can actually count on next time. Her loss, dude!

Thanks for your input. She was really nice and excited around me and it felt real as you can tell. Bit I think she got really busy with work etc and moving house. We really hit it off together she told me we have so much in common. There is definitely a chemistry. But im unsure now that we don't talk as much. I've started to ignore and go no contact to see if she reaches out. She would always say we should meet up and do things but, she became more unavailable. Don't know why she was saying lets meet up and then bail. Seems like games or just talk.

Ah man, that's a bummer. I can see why you'd be confused by her mixed signals. On the one hand it really did seem like you guys connected and she was into you. But then her actions didn't really back that up when she kept bailing. Girls can be so hard to figure out sometimes! My best guess is she probably did really like you, but then got overwhelmed with her other stuff like work and moving. Sounds like she had a lot going on. That could definitely make someone flake out on plans without meaning to, you know? But still, she shoulda at least let you know instead of leaving you hanging. Not cool. The no contact thing is smart - hopefully giving her some space will make her realize she misses talking to you. Then maybe she'll reach out and actually follow through on plans this time if you guys start talking again. But I wouldn't hold my breath, ya know? Protect your feelings. If she doesn't reach out soon, don't be afraid to move on too. You deserve someone who's not gonna leave you confused all the time. Fingers crossed this all works out for the best, bro! Thanks for the reply. It hurts when someone promises you things especially when you like them a lot. The times we hung out were great and she was happy. She drifted away and no excuse is worthy. I think she is flaky and its ruined things. I've gone no contact. Its funny she doesn't post a lot on social media, but since I've vanished from her and social media she is posting lots of posts. My friend told me. I told them don't tell me what she is doing. I have not looked at her pages. I could have been just flavour of the week by the looks of it. Whatever way you look at it it bites. Could be games and i don't play. Funny how people come into your life then exit just as fast. Moving on

Yeah man, I feel you. When someone promises stuff and hypes it up, then pulls away like that with no real explanation, it really stings. Makes you wonder what was even real in the first place.

Posting more on socials now that you've gone no contact is a pretty clear sign she wants attention. Probably just wants to know you still care or might be jealous that you've moved on already. Def don't give her the satisfaction of looking at her pages - she doesn't deserve any more of your time.

Flake city is exactly what it sounds like - just keeping you interested in case she gets bored later or can't do better. Not someone you wanna waste your feelings on. Smart to protect your heart and dip out. Plenty more girls will love the attention you bring when they actually appreciate your ass ya know?

Just do your thing, have fun with the boys. Hit the gym, pick up a new hobby, shoot some hoops - keep busy and you'll get over it faster. Out of sight, out of mind works for a reason. Keep your head up homie, onwards and upwards from here!

Its sad the way people treat others. I work out almost every day and live a very exciting lifestyle, I ride motorcycles and write and do a lot of day trips and sightseeing. Im never bored. I've not bothered with her for a month. Not heard from her either so kinda know she doesn't really care, I was being used by the look of it. I dont understand it at all. My time is precious and she can live her life bored or wasting others time. I think they have this crush or fascination with someone for a minute then its gone. We really had a good understanding for each other and she said we had so much in common, but not a lot happened.

Yo man, I hear you. That's super lame of her to hype things up and act interested if she wasn't really feeling it long term. Some people just don't think about how their actions affect others.

Girls can be fickle sometimes, getting swept up in the excitement of a new connection without considering how flaky they may come across. But the reality is you dodged wasting more time on someone who wasn't serious about following through.

Sounds like you've got a sweet life going on - motorcycles, travelling, staying active. That's way more fulfillment than sitting around waiting for empty promises, you feel me? Her loss if she can't appreciate how dope you are. Keep doing you and having fun, someone worthy will come along who wants to join the ride, literally and figuratively!

And who knows, maybe she'll hit you up down the line when she's bored again. But I wouldn't sweat it if she doesn't - you're way above being anyone's back-burner option. Keep keeping on my dude, bigger and better things coming your way for sure!
