A promise is a reflection of character.
Life can change, circumstances can shift, and sometimes people genuinely can’t keep what they once promised, that happens.
But casually breaking promises isn’t growth, it’s a lack of integrity.
If you give your word, it should mean something.
And if you can’t keep it, the responsibility is to be honest, explain, and take accountability not disappear or rewrite the story.
So no, promises aren’t meant to be broken.
They’re meant to be kept, or consciously released with respect.
Ty for inviting me to share. I choose my promises very carefully and I would rather be publicly flogged than break one. They are so much more than words.
I tend to keep my promise, but sometimes it's difficult to keep it, so I voted B, still, I don't give promises that easy, so I usually keep it in at least 97% of situations.
Thanks for the MHO
Think things out first before making the promise. I always try to keep my word, barring any life/death situations.

A promise is a promise, as the fundamental purpose of a promise is to establish trust and create predictability. However, in the reality of human life, promises are sometimes broken for reasons that range from betrayal to necessity.
I can't speak for others but I do take my promises very seriously. If I make one I keep it and if I don't think I can keep it then I won't make it in the first place.
If a persons word isn't any good why even make it. Better to say no.
Promises make fate.. not a topic to be messed with!
But if I absolutely have to, I'll hinder the promise.. not really break it.
Usually, but sometimes promises can't be kept.
If you can't fulfil it dont make the promise!
Rules are meant to broken. Not promises
