The exact same guy can say one thing to one woman and it’s “cute and funny” depending on her mood and how she’s look at him. Then he could say the exact same thing to another woman and it’s offensive, annoying and even creepy. Of course he should pay attention to the context but sometimes he says something that might be otherwise innocuous but unbeknownst to him she’s having a flashback.

Some women have grace her but not all. Also I am noticing more and more “modern” women believe it’s totally okay to “express” their immediate feelings and not think twice about the other person’s perspective and intentions. This crap is driving everybody nuts nowadays. Nobody really wins.

Anyway on my side there are occasional moments where I can get triggered from what a woman says given my past experiences. For me being called a “nice guy” will set off alarm bells in my head especially if I’m interested in the girl and we haven’t gotten physical yet.

4 out of 5 times it’s bad when a woman says. Really bad if I am attracted to her. It just screams friendzone. And it’s also not just young women who send me red flags. I’ve met grown ass woman in their 30s who really mean the worst when I hear that.

But there have been 1 out of 5 women who say that, appreciate my personality AND want to bang my brains out. 2 of my last 3 long term gfs were both in their 20s, very attractive, called me a “nice guy” all the time but also couldn’t wait to hop in bed with me. But they were an exception not the rule.

Nowadays when I get called a “nice guy” I take a deep breath and a step back. I won’t get “triggered” but I will definitely pay a lot more attention to how she is interacting we me. Not a red flag but it’s huge yellow flag.

If she calls me “nice” but never comments about my looks it’s now a red flag. If she calls me “nice” and mentions problems with past guys in her life I will immediately count her out. I’ll stop talking to her when happens. I’ll quit reaching out to her. If she calls me “nice” but keeps asking for one way favors then I’ll completely cut her off and wish her the best of luck.

I’ve done this to at least 4 women in the last five years and zero regrets cutting them off. I know exactly what kind of friendzone bullshit they are up to and I won’t tolerate it. I won’t get angry but I will just tell them best of luck.

But if she calls me nice, her body language is inviting and most importantly says something positive about my appearance then the yellow flag will get greenish. It’s not always bad but I will proceed with caution.

Of course a man can. But that shouldn't keep her from self reflecting and looking for the cause of that trigger.
What kind of behaviour is triggering to her? Why does it trigger her so much?
If anything, it's something you two should discuss, be willing to listen to, and learn to set and respect boundaries.
