Girls, Is it ok if your boyfriend games?

Ladies is it alright if your boyfriend plays video games sometimes. I’m not saying for hours but say sometimes he likes to chill and play games and still talk to you while he does.

Yeah what's the problem with that? Think about all the other things he could be doing a lot worse than that. I don't play games much. Used to play Wii bowling with friends but haven't in the longest time. I wouldn't care though if my boyfriend played video games. Hardly anything to get upset about and as you said it isn't constant or anything like that. If it was then I might have an issue. I like to be sociable and get out and about and see family and friends. If he couldn't pry himself away from the TV or computer or whatever then it would be an issue.

Thanks Maya, I like to go out sometimes too but some nights I like chilling at home playing some games or watching a movie.

Oh totally get that. I am the same and just like a night in on occasion to relax.

Games can easily become an addiction like smoking, drugs, gambling or sex if people don't take a number of precautions.

Playing 15 minute every day is probably fine as long as gaming is not becoming the dominant factor in life and in a relationship. What is not okay is to place the relationship behind the gaming. That would be an indicator that it is becoming an addiction and that corrective measures need to be taken.

What is definitely a no go would be all those violent games like shoot em up games, war games and other types of games that glorify killing people. I would never enter a relationship with a person that solely plays those kind of games, regardless of the time spent playing.

Fair enough no I prefer relaxing games and don’t need to play everyday

As I play them by myself, I think it would be considered hypocrisy if I wouldn't agree for my man to do the same :D
