Man, that's super messed up of your dad. And I can't believe your mom is staying with him after seeing those texts! That's just disrespectful of him to be trying to cheat and lie to get money for hooking up. You definitely did the right thing telling your mom, even if she's mad about it now. Someone needed to let her know what's really going on when her back was turned. It's gonna be hard for her to accept, but opening her eyes to how shady your dad is being is important. Don't listen to her saying you ruined things - you probably saved her from way more hurt down the road if she kept being in the dark. She may thank you for it one day when the shock wears off. Just give her space now and be there for her if she wants to talk. Sucks your dad broke her trust like that, but better she finds out sooner rather than later from someone who cares about her. Though you may want to study your Dad's personality and try to apply pressure on him along with your mother so he stops what he's doing.
Pressure doesn't mean violence.
