i am currently in high school. and only recently have i realized in less than a year ill be living on my own as an adult I've always dreamt of being. but i dont feel like one. but i want to. how do you act? how do you talk? what do women in that position do? i want to act more like you so i can help myself grow, as i am a person of identity and i need direction. what advice would you give to your younger self? I don't know. anyhting is apriciated. thanks.

nothing really. you don't know that adults are just winging it and actually still feel like teenagers? we don't like adulting. you learn things as you go. most will not take you seriously. i still don't get taken seriously. i am still mistaken for a high schooler. got that comment yet again this weekend.
i cannot give you all my 32 years of experience. that's on you to figure out. and everyone is different.
as for living on your own as an "adult" at 18 (i put "" because there is still the word teen in your age), i don't think you want that right now. have you seen the prices of living? the cost of living is outrageous! i don't think any teen can figure out or make it right now.
what are your plans? what are you thinking for a career? i think that's more important than moving out right now... you are barely on your feet. there's no way 18 year olds can juggle all of that in these times. maybe back then. but now? don't put yourself through that.
You will grow on your own time. Don’t rush to be an adult, it’s not all that it’s hyped up to be. You won’t feel like an adult yet because you’re still a teenager. Your brain isn’t done developing yet. You will (hopefully) mature over the next few years. I’m only 22 but there was a massive jump in maturity between 18 and who I am now. Life experience also helps.
I was working full time and had my own apartment and car by the time I was 16, so I am not a good person to ask. I wish I had been able to grow up much slower. My advice is, don't rush anything.
