Genetics and lifestyle play a huge role in when that hits them. The rule of thumb is 30 to 40... that's when they hit the wall and the wall is undefeated. The idea is if they haven't found a steady partner by that time, they're most likely not going to grow old with a man. 90% of a woman's eggs are gone by 30 and the supply shrivels down to nothing from that. You'll know a post-wall woman because they start saying things like, "Where have all the good men gone?"

It's a mental state as much as physical. there's physical reality for a woman when she can't make more kids, but she can be young in heart, spirit, and life. Life can start for her anew at 65.

Viewpoint at your age is very different at stages of life. I used to think 28 was old, it's not! To be honest, I don't think most people's senses start working til after 30.

A person becomes old only when they think they are. You can be old at any age after 30 if you think your life is dwindling down to the abyss of being old, wrinkled and withering away. Being old is a state of mind. Getting old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. I used to think 40 was old 🤣 until I reached it. I don’t feel old at all. Why do you ask this question anyways? 🤔

I prefer the word mature rather than old. Mature means so many things, like wiser, etc. "Old" implies the person should be out out to pasture. LOL

I think a mature women is 40 or above. At 40, you've pretty much seen it all whether it be a woman or a man and you are wiser to the world and the people within it.

It depends on how well she ages and takes care of her body. It also matters when she CONSIDERS herself to be old! The sooner you consider yourself to be old, the sooner you'll actually BE old!! Dad died at 81, people couldn't believe he was even 61!! I don't think I ever heard him say he was getting too old for this or that. The singer in my band started saying that when he was in his late 20's and he died at around 58!!

I agree with exitseven, but I don't really like using that term because it's too fluid and doesn't really mean much if the person in question is still energetic and "young" in their mind. It also depends on how you take care of yourself and even how happy and harmonic your life is, because that'll make your body age slower.

Being old is a relatve term. What is old to a child in high school is different from what is old to someone who is 40 years old. Also, old age is partly how you look and partly how you act.

I'd say 65 is when old age starts. Or the time at which you are happy to be shipped to a touristic place on a bus, have cake and coffee there after strolling about a bit and then be shipped elsewhere. For my parents this occured at age 75, so since then they behave like old people.

Menopause is an important milestone, though. She is then too old to have children, but not old in the literal sense of the word. It always depends on context.
