Girls, Why does it seem like losing to a girl is such a bad thing in sports?

Because guys are physically much stronger and better than women when it comes to sports and thus guys have an advantage
So if you lose despite that, which is rare, people tend to view that as embarassing
I've had beginner males defeat me in a sport where I am semi pro, intergender sports is BS

As in a guy losing to a girl? It depends on the sport, guys tend to be physically stronger so losing to a girl could make them seem weaker compared to other guys. The way girls see it, beating a guy is a bigger accomplishment than beating a girl

Yeah I was competing in a self defense martial arts class and she nailed me with a groin kick and took me down

Because the pain did most of the work for her, if it weren’t for it there’s like a 90% chance she probably wouldn’t have been able to

I can guarantee no one actually believes she genuinely took you down, everyone knows getting kicked there does that to guys. They’re just teasing you or trying to hype her up, but everyone lowkey knows it didn’t count

Yeah no don’t worry about it, everyone knows she only beat you because she kicked you there. As long as you don’t respond to the teasing in an overly defensive manner, everyone’s going to forget it even happened. Just have a playful attitude about it and you’re good

Definitely not, that’s the expected reaction to being kicked there. That’s precisely why she didn’t actually beat you

That is true, but everyone knows a guy can’t do that when he’s been kicked in the groin. Girls see a kick there as an instant KO, and thats only because of how sensitive men are there (not because the girl herself is strong). No girl expects a guy to be kicked there, have no reaction, and instantly perform at his best, that’s basically impossible. You really don’t have to worry about it, you reacted the same way any other guy would have

Same reason people laugh when they see a kid fall or something. They’d do it to any guy it happened to, again you don’t have to worry about it. They don’t see you as lesser for it, you literally just reacted like how any guy would

It does not, they’re not laughing because you’re weak. Laughing is kind of a natural reaction, but they weren’t laughing at how weak you were. It’s kind of like how when kids get scared of something and cry people laugh at them before comforting them. Obviously it doesn’t mean the kid is weak, it’s just a funny situation. Look at it that way

Of course it’s not an ideal situation, but I guarantee you care more than they do. At the end of the day, they know you reacted how any guy would and that the girl didn’t actually beat you. As long as you don’t look bothered by it, they’ll forget about it I promise

What would you think if you were in a class and saw a 5’2 girl take down a muscular guy a foot taller than her

If she genuinely took you down, either she was really strong or you were weak. But because she kicked you in the balls, it doesn’t count and you’d definitely have beat her otherwise, that’s literally it. I can’t keep responding here but just know you have nothing to stress about. Let yourself forget it happened, no one cares about it as much as you do after all
