It seems like she does. Sometimes I see her walk past some people and doesn’t even say anything. She’s really friendly but there were times when she was shy around me but most times she isn’t

It's possible it could mean something man. Like if she's making more of an effort to say hi and bye to you than other people, that could be a sign she likes you a bit. Girls sometimes act shy around guys they think are cute too, so the shy spells could be that.

It's good that she's pretty friendly in general though, don't want to read too much into it if that's just her personality. But the extra greetings are definitely something to pay attention to. Next time you see her, maybe try smiling and making a bit of small talk when you say hi/bye. See how she reacts and if she seems engaged. If she's looking you in the eye and not rushing off too quick, that's a good sign.

If you can find an excuse to chat with her alone once or twice, even just about homework or something, really pay attention to how she acts. Does she laugh at your jokes more? Touch your arm when she talks? That body language stuff matters. And if all goes well in the talks, maybe ask for her number or socials?
