So we never actually talked but we make frequent eye contact. Many times i catch her looking at me when I am not looking and sometimes we make prolonged eye contact (like 3-4 sec) the eye contact was so frequent that i thought it was no coincidence and she actually likes me and there are many other signs too like trying to be physically close with me. so I confessed her and she said she have boyfriend. So what was it all about? Was she just playing with me?

Women check out hot men just like men check out hot women. It's natural, instinctive and even sometimes just fun to flirt to remind themselves they are where they are for their own reasons not because they couldn't make a different choice.

Just because a girl checks someone out doesn't mean anything, be flattered she botthered to do so. It's good you've made your position clear to her (e. g. you would like to date her) because now she knows where you stand and you know she's in a relationship. Should something change, she will recall you (assuming she was checking you out and not just happening to look at you sometimes and you got star struck, which is nothing to be ashamed of every guy has been there sometime)

Why is she staring other guys if she is in relationship? by the way the mutual eye contact I was talking about didn't happen one or two times it happened more than that we were staring at each other's eyes for like 3-4 sec non stop

Its natrual behaviour, like I said. Eye contact has all kinds of reasons. It's an indicator at best.

If she's holding eye contact, smiling encouragingly and making an effort to spend time with you, thats a harder indicator.

There is also always the possibility she's got nympho tendancies, meaning she's more about the sexual interaction than a specific partner. Never presume that though, but its a possibility.

If she's staring at you neutrally it might be defiance. I had a friend who did that, it was hard to tell sometimes but mostly it was a challenge to show that what she did was HER choice and should just deal with it. Honestly it was fair enough.
