So there's this woman I work with and we hit it off from the beginning. Hardcore flirting, amazing conversations, totally into her. First time we talked we talked about everything, family, life, parents, you name it. Never did she mention a boyfriend which is one of the things you would tell someone from the beginning or mention when you are telling each other about each other for like a good 2 hour conversation.

Anyway she asked me to hang out one night and go out with one or two of her girlfriends for drinks. We all got along great and me and the woman casually slipped into the conversation that she had a boyfriend like it was nothing and how he lived far away but was coming to visit her soon. Needless to say I was crushed and was like WTF to the tenth power in my head of course. Should I still pursue it or let it go. I'm so into her. Why didn't she tell me she had a man from the get go. Women are confusing.

Maybe she only looked at you as a friend and that is why she invited you out WITH her friends? Or maybe she is willing to cheat on her boyfriend?

I wouldn't necessarily mention having a boyfriend right away if I had one. Honestly if I had one I wouldn't try to be too close with other guys unless it was strictly platonic.

I have seen guys do this too though, make girls think they are interested and then admit they have girlfriends, and it is usually because even if they are flirting they don't have any intentions
