it’s not like she is poor or anything, she just thinks that it’s like a manly thing to do she says. I don’t mind paying, but it’s a little weird if I’m always paying Absolutely everything.

I wouldn’t say it’s weird because of how much society still pushes this mindset that men pay for everything. Fathers/mothers are still raising their daughters/sons with this ideology too, so I don’t imagine it going anywhere any time soon. However, it is totally fine if that is not the dynamic you want in a relationship, and there’s a lot of women out there who are totally fine pitching in or paying for dates, at least on occasion. So if that is the sort of woman you want, then politely pass on her and move on to someone more compatible.

It is easier if somebody else pays, but it is also the less responsible or virtuous way to do things. I think sometimes a person's pride prevents them from taking from others when they know it is an option available for them. I pay for myself cause I want to feel happy with who I am and I won't have a self concept if I just mould into my social benefits all the time.

No, it’s not weird. There are plenty of men out here who pay for everything for their dates and girlfriends. I’ve not ever been with a guy who wanted me to split the bill and never would be.
