Is it rude to take off your high heels in class when they hurt?

I love wearing high heels but they hurt my feet. It's not a big deal but I prefer taking them off in class. One of my friend told me it's rude but another one said it's ok.

What do you think? I could keep them all the day but I would rather not if possible.
