Girls, man or bear BUT this time you get to have a gun! do you still choose to be alone with the bear?

Oh look another man or bear question! i know, but i just gotta satisfy my curiosity with this one. So in the man or bear discourse most women chose the bear, this is assuming its just you without anything to defend yourself with. But just imagine this same scenario only this time women get to have a gun while the guy just has his bare fists. Would you still choose to be alone with the bear? or are you ok being alone with the guy now that you have a gun jic?

Also assume you know how to use the gun too, if none of you have ever had experience with them, for this scenario.

I still choose the bear despite having a gun with me

I'm ok being alone with the guy this time since i got a gun jic i need to use it.

it depends on what type of gun i get (pistol, shotgun, AR-15, etc)

I actually choose to be with the man over the bear with or without a gun

Ugh, this question. Again.

Like I said in my previous answer on another version of this question, I'd shoot the bear, and nod to the man.

The reality is, I'm not going into the woods without protection. It would be dumb. At the very least, a gun can be used to signal for help when there is no cell reception (three consecutive shots, for those who don't know). A gun is a necessary tool for backcountry situations.

I get why this question keeps coming up and it's sad, honestly. Bears are less intelligent then men, don't use art and subterfuge, don't tie their victims up and keep them alive to be tortured over and over again. So I can see why a women would rather die than encounter a man. But at the same time, how many guys are actually psychopaths like that? I'd be more concerned in an urban setting than the woods. In the woods, I typically encounter sportsman or ranchers. They aren't searching for torture victims, they are searching for game and cattle.

I don't choose the bear on any of these questions, I choose to meet the man.

There's a reason I don't carry a gun. Regardless I'd rather the bear because I like bears, they are awesome and I've never seen one in person before. It would be a fun story to tell when I get home, maybe I can even take a picture of it to show as long as I get far enough away first so I don't spook it. I go to the woods to see nature, not people. Why would I want to see a random man?

Well the hypothetical assumes you just randomly happened upon either man or bear not that you were intending on finding them

I know. I wouldn't go out looking for a bear, but I would be excited to happen across one—still keep a lot of cirlstance ofc and leave quickly tho.

Yes. I'm. usually friendly, but when in the woods I don't want to talk to people. Maybe if they were obviously a cool person, but that's unlikely. If you're in the woods you're probably wearing hiking clothes of some kind. I don't want to get to know you I want to explore nature. Bye don't approach me thanks.

I chose the man the first time and I still do. Also, I don't want to have to deal with a gun bc I am a klutz and accidents happen. I believe most men are decent human beings with a natural inclination to assist and protect females of the species!!
