Coworker said I was in her dream Why did she tell me this and does it mean anything?

There is a female coworker who I have to work with sometimes. We don't work together often and are not close. I don't think we've ever had a real conversation that didn't involve work. She doesn't know much about me and I don't know much about her personally. Anyways, I feel like she has never flirted with me.

But last week, when I was working with her, she said she had a dream. In her dream, I quit our place of work apparently. When she told me this, she sounded concerned and asked me if I'm thinking about quitting. She then asked if she should get someone to speak to me so I don't quit.

This caught me off guard. I would have never expected her to say this to me. Is she into me you think? Is this not weird considering we are not close?

A few possibilities for why she told you:

- Maybe she low-key has a thing for you but is too shy to actually flirt. Telling a "dream" is an easy way to hint at being into you.

- Or she was just caught off guard herself for dreaming about a coworker and wanted to play it off as no big deal. Now it's getting awkward!

- Could be she's lonely at work and you were the only person she saw lately so you popped into her head. Dreams are weird like that.

- Long shot, but some people are into that dream interpretation stuff and think it "means something." She might be one of those types!

I wouldn't read too much into it for now. But watch her interactions - if she's finding excuses to talk to you more now, she could be feeling you out. Or she might go the other way and totally avoid you haha. Chicks, man! Who knows.

She is a little older than me. I’m one of the IT people for a company. I helped her another day recently and she made a comment about how if this works when I’m sitting next to her, she might should just have me sit right next to her all the time.

I'd say at this point she's put all the feelers out there, it's time to make a move. Next time you're helping with her computer problems or whatever, just casually invite her to grab lunch with you after. Get to know her a little better outside of work. Once she let her guard down over food, lay on the charm and compliments - tell her how good she looks for her age or something. Girls love that haha.

By the end of lunch I bet she'll be eating out of your hand. Then you play it cool for a few days, let her think about you. Then ask her out for drinks on Friday night, just the two of you.
