Have you ever noticed that when a man says the type of girl he's attracted to he's often called insecure or misogynistic? There's no alternative for women besides maybe gold digger or jealous? . For example I told my female friend that I like fit women (I'm also fit) and she told me that I'm being too picky and insecure, and when I told her it's just an attraction thing, and that out of shape women gross me out not make me insecure she didn't understand.

People who call your preferences insecurity are projecting. The vast majority of women who say you're insecure for not being attracted to obese women are obese themselves, and insecure about it.
Some preferences are tied to an insecurity (hence Freud…), while some preferences are simply sensorily or intellectually motivated. It depends on the guy.
I studied psych in college so I understand freud theory. The only problem is if there's no signs of insecurity then it's not academicly or morally responsible to assume. Unless the person with the preference displays personal identity dysphoria then it's not insecurity.
Sure, hence the second part of my answer….
For example disliking men with bad breath because it grosses you out Is very different to you dislike bad breath because it makes you question your own breath and if you stink too.
Right I'm just trying to find were the line is I suppose.
