I can’t read what she’s looking for?

I was at a convention for work. My company had our own booth, and this girl who also had her own booth walked over and started talking to me. She was interested in what we were selling so that’s what we talked about, but very quickly it somehow changed to what we liked to do in our free time and we talked about video games and stuff. We talked for a while, maybe 30 minutes, then she said she should get back to her own booth. I said bye and didn’t ask for her socials or anything cause I was scared I was reading the vibes wrong. A couple hours go by and I work up the courage to go talk to her again. We talk again, laughing and joking around. Then I ask for her instagram, she gave it to me no problem. I told her we should play video games together sometime, and she said “oh that’ll be fun! And maybe my boyfriend can join us too!”

I immediately shut down and tried to cut the convo after I heard that. I walked away and knew I read that vibe wrong. She, however, sent me messages on instagram asking for me to send my in game username and asking when I’m free to play. I told her I was busy and maybe another time, I wasn’t busy I just didn’t want to be one of those guys. But she keeps bugging me when I am free and stuff to play video games.

I know I can just block her but most likely I will see her again at another convention for work. One friend said she just said had a boyfriend so I don’t move too quickly. But another friend is saying she just wants to play video games with people. Do I just tell her that I thought she was cute and that’s why I asked for her insta, but since I found out she had a boyfriend I don’t think we should talk anymore? What is she looking for? She is a very attractive girl, I would think she has so many other “friends” to play video games with.

She’s 23 and I’m 26. So no, we are not dumb high schoolers lol

Obviously, you are only interested in getting in her pants since your reaction spoke for you. You shut down after she told you she had a boyfriend.

Her, on the other side, has no interest whatsoever in fornicating outside of her relationship and was probably truly ONLY interested in this gaming business.

This is the sad fact. Why is it that men in general are always interested in initiating a conversation with a girl when there is a potential chance to fornicate but as soon as this chance vanishes, the interest for that person suddenly disappears?

Obviously, she remained professional and you did not.

Forget about her since you don't pursue the same interests as she does.

You expect us to believe somebody manning a booth chose to leave their booth for 30 minutes to talk to you not caring they get fired or written up, and you were a total stranger and they were an attractive girl who has an easy time meeting people? It's obvious to me you have a brain injury and tell lies a 5 year old kid would not believe.

Man she’s trying to keep you on the hook — like a “maybe future interest” who she’ll play with for a bit and forget. Ignore her and just greet her as needed at the work related things. Don’t make yourself her plaything.

She is clearly not looking for a relationship... she just wants to play those video games... but u hav entirely different motive so its best to stop interacting n not try to ruin her relationship with her boyfriend
