LOL. Great question.
(1) Young Moms of Leisure (20-30ish) are part of the clique obsessed with showing every diaper and fart pic online... EVERYTHING is cute to them... It's the equivalent of what parents used to do with photo albums or wallet pics whenever they met up with friends for a dinner party... only now it's ENDLESS pics posted across a million streams of social media, clouds, chat groups, blah blah blah. Completely intolerable and makes you wonder... while Mommy's blogging who's taking care of the kid? (Typically a nanny or grandparent...) These are also the moms who post the busty duckface pics while holding the baby at a celebrity event then hand the kid over to do whatever tf she wants that has nothing to do with actual maternal duties...
(2) Warrior Moms (30-40ish) take and keep pics on our phones and just keep them there. We're the real "warrior moms" who don't have time to fuss with social media daily as our kids were growing up because we're busy managing different, complex lives and schedules... When I was that age I didn't have time to mess around online before my kids both hit college and started their own lives, especially as a single parent with no support from anyone.
(3) Silver Sirens (45+ moms with grown kids) are empty nesters with time to reminisce now that we're older and the kids aren't home and life is starting to wind down in terms of our active daily responsibilities. Memories of the kids are in our hearts and we have time to chitchat till the kids are old enough to make us some grand babies to dote over. (Not that I'm rushing mine, lol.) We have time to do our own thing and some of that is nostalgic social media posting and documentation (mainly among family members) with pics of elder family members holding the kids when they were babies...
I know just what you mean. A friend of mine has 2 daughters w this girl who ended up being a stripper. She doesn’t spend time w her kids. He has custody. When she does get them though she always post pics of her w the kids. More than likely it’s to try to prove to people that they’re really good mothers.
My question is: why are you worried? If you think they’re neglectful parents, you can always call Child Protective Services
