I wouldn't cuz that's fucked up, but I'm not under any pressure to have a certain gender kid and not any of another. Unfortunately that's not the case for everyone and that is also VERY fucked up. There's documented history of this happening to especially girl babies being killed or abandoned (b4 & after birth) because the society they were born into grossly favors boys, so raising a girl would handicap her family financially & socially. Some especially poorer families couldn't afford that...

I would never make that decision myself, but I can say that easy because I would never have to. I don't even want to think about it as a serious question.

No of course not and to think anyone would is despicable. Besides with designer babies these days you can pretty much get the gender you want with ivf.
