I told her that since we started the home buying process and we should have a home purchased by Thanksgiving, I put in my resignation at work. I'm leaving the school where I currently work and will start a new teaching job in Jan out of state. i will continue to help her however I have to do this for my growth. She said i should have waited until next year however I get sad and feel closed in whenever I think about waiting until June of 2025. My last day will be in jan when the kids return from school. I will use my sick days to cover those days.

She said she always consults with me before making a decision which is bogus. I am moving out because I want to get closer to God, find happiness and achieve my goals. i can't do this living in a small town in MA. I'm 23 and will be 23 in December.

I'm confused about the situation between you and your mother. Are you two about to buy a home together? How can this happen if you're living in another state?

Since you're a grown woman with children, I don't see why you need to consult her on any move you're making.

But why on earth are you planning to buy a home with her? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. If you need to be on your own, then you certainly shouldn't be buying a home with your mother.

Either you're OUT or you're IN. You can't have it both ways.
