Why is “being a modern woman” different from “being a traditional woman”?

"why" is a difficult question. probably cause in the wake of decades of recession especially in the western first world countries, the single breadwinner model was invalidated as an economically viable family arrangement for everyone but the top 20%.

where i'm not sure cause its a chicken or egg question is: was "women joining the labour force in large number" the cause or the result? hard to say.

My answer: Traditional & Modern are just labels, BE YOURSELF AND HANDLE YOUR RELATION THE WAY YOU & YOUR PARTNER SEE FIT! Don’t let anyone judge or shame you out of it as long as you both are on board.

Traditionalist women, in the west, follow along with the traditional narratives set in place from a time when women were physically and legally barred from being on equal ground with men in pretty much every aspect from the last few generations. Modern women don’t follow those narratives and instead choose to take control of the equal ground they have.

I believe I am both. Like I am a modern woman, like I am in grad school, I do take birth control to help regulate my menstrual, and I want to have a career before starting a family.

However, I am traditional cause I want to marry and if I do have kids, I want to be a stay at home and take care of my kids and my husband.

Modern women prioritize things that fly in the face of the priorities and needs of the very men they want most. Good men have no need for a modern woman. Men looking for casual sex are not what most women want, but casual sex is the only thing modern women are good for.
