Why do people at the campus restaurant stare or talk about me?

I go there everyday because it's cheap and convenient for students. I feel like the staff sometimes stares and talks about me, sometimes they smile. Why? What is so amusing about me being a regular customer?

So you "feel" like they do but you don't know. It is all in your head. They smile because it is their job to be friendly to customers.

but they smile when im not looking. in another restaurant one guy gave me fried chicken on the house and mentioned that i was coming there every day. also the boss is always kind of hovering around me when im ordering. trust me i observed it
