In general not. Rock, Metal and all the subgenres including Punk, goth, emo, ... are all about fighting for equality and inclusion in its base core.

You still got a few rotten eggs here and there, but you got them everywhere.

You do have them "gatekeeping" telling you this and that band isn't "true rock, metal, goth, emo, punk..." but thats it.
