Does it mean anything if she doesn't text first, when you regularly see her twice a week?

A lady I'm interested in almost never texts me unless she needs something, but there are two big details:

1. She doesn't have an American phone number, so she can only text me over wifi.

2. I consistently see her at least once per week on Friday, and I usually see her on Wednesday night as well.

I know the standard thinking is that she's not interested if she doesn't text, does that apply when two people see each other so regularly?

Under what circumstances are you seeing each other once a week? Work? Mutual friends? School? I ask because if seeing you is more of a mandatory thing vs you’re making plans to hang out once a week, then I wouldn’t use that to gauge whether or not someone likes me. Mainly because such hangouts aren’t about you and her spending time together, you just have to do it by default.

There's a dinner and bible study on Wednesday, and then a meetup group style social dinner on Friday.

Gotcha, So does she know that you like her or what’s up with that? I ask this because if it’s not like understood between you two that you like one another and want to take things further, then she may not be picking up on those hints. Especially if you are subtle.

I think she knows that I like her. She's definitely done things that bring her closer to me and my family, but I also get the impression that she is quite emotionally immature. This is a 29 year old woman, but there's a certain childish innocence to her.

She's definitely comfortable with me during one on one time, but I think she has a little bit of a tough time being chatty with me unless we're in a group setting.

Maybe you should ask her out. I know it’s a risk since you run in the same circles and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to face the aftermath of if she doesn’t like you back, it could be awkward at church and whatnot. But in all honesty if you don’t make a move, wouldn’t you kick yourself a bit if another guy did instead? What’s life without a little risk when the risk won’t kill you?
