My girlfriend is so laid back and I'm needy, opinions advice please!

Hey everyone, iv been with my girlfriend for a little over 5 months and when were together in person everything is perfect and we have such a good time together...but days that we don't see each other I am very needy to hear from her all day and she's not that type of girl. We are both in our mid 20's I live alone and have a lot of free time while she lives at home still but also has a daughter and is always busy. I am asking how I can get over or learn to accept days we aren't seeing each other to give her space. I find myself calling and messaging all day long...it doesn't seem to bother her but I don't want to start to push her away...shouldnt she want to message me a lot? She can sometimes say good morning and go the entire day until until she checks her phone...opinions advice is appreciated!

Hi! I'm just like you...in the beginning my boyfriend would text me and was very sweet. Now he's not. There are days where he won't text at all. I have voiced my opinion but it doesn't seem to change.

I would suggest you trying to do things to keep you busy when she's not around. keep in mind tha ther life style is a bit different since she has a daughter and that is her main priority. I wouldn't over analyze so much. Give her her space and maybe even give her a chance to miss you. If this is not what you want to do ask her if all you constant need to be in contact bothers her. COMMUNICATE! My relationship is falling apart because we don't cmmunitcate. She shouldn't want to message you all day. A few messages are OK but all days every 5 minutes can get exchusting plus then you have nothing to talk about sometimes...ya know? don't sweat it...just try to do something else besides textng :)

I used to be laid back, my Boyfriend needy, then he dumped me and now I'm needy with my new partner, I think I'm still working through some damage done, but I'll come right in the end. Just try to keep in mind that your neediness is your insanity and not hers. I don't really have any good advice, but what I will tell you is, that when you feel yourself getting upset about late returned texts or whatever, just take a deep breath, try to remain calm, and wait it out. You will get one eventually and when it comes, the pressure will ease, and if you can keep doing this, you may finally be able to handle it better one day.

LOL - my boyfriend is a bit needy as well. Personally I like it, because I used to be needy and now I don't have to be! However, hobbies, hobbies, hobbies! Try to keep yourself busy with things you enjoy. Heck or even try something new - painting (you don't have to be good at it), sports, exercising, reading... As long as she is not complaining, then be yourself!

You need to pace yourself and simply agree on a time that it's appropriate to message/call/see her. Pick ONE time of day where you're going to carve out special time to give her your undivided attention (whether it's over the phone, email, etc.). DON'T send messages all day long. It can get annoying if she doesn't like that sort of thing.
