as pessimistic as this sounds this is the brutal truth. obviously anyone who's been in a relationship knows that the honeymoon stage will not last throughout ar elationship. couples always start to fight and resent each other at least a year after the initiation of the relationship obviously I'm not saying these means they dont love each other anymore. its like what my aunt used to say...

new brooms always sweep the cleanest.

however a lot of people nowadays dont seem to understand this. they are so deeply programmed by Disney movies that they think they've finally found their prince/princess and will live happily ever after not realizing that they are just in the honeymoon stage of the relationship and they still got a long way to go,

anyways are you one of those sensitive people that would take the above to the heart?

I used to believe such things before, because I have heard so many things about it, saw so many videos read so many articles, and saw so many examples in surroundings. But i was never in any relationship before.

After I got into my first relationship, it was me who mentioned these words to him. And he told me that "you keep this belief, and let me prove this wrong, as it's never going to happen, our honeymoon phase will be same throughout, as I'm never going to change, my love for you is never going to change so neither our happy moments".

It's our 4th year now, and yes it's same. He is still same flirty, he still keep teasing me. In his eyes i see the same attraction as if it is the first time he is watching me.

I don't believe the honeymoon stage should ever end. If the relationship is real then it will last forever. If not then it's probably not true love to begin with. I always dated more for chemistry and not the compatibility BS. It seems like those couples there is only that short honeymoon phase cuz the relationship is more of a friendship

I only know players who jump from one girl to the next after the honeymoon phase.. I suppose their problem is promiscuity and confusing love for infatuation
