Like they've known each other a long time and consider each other best friends. She claims she has no physical or sexual attraction and no romantic interest in him, but does have an emotional connection and considers him a close friend.

Yet, she is receptive of him expressing interest, making flirty comments and even sharing his dirty dreams and fantasies about her. And even going as far as to indulge him with pics she knows he'll like or wearing outfits she knows he'll like. And she appreciates his compliments.

What you said is similar to my situation with my friends, it's like you're describing me.

Let me tell you based on my own experience, I only make friends and I tend to be free around them and get too close with them. But the thing is, I'm asexual and aromantic which means I'm against all kind of love things / relationships / sexual things.. etc

I made it clear to my friends that I would get very close with them and would even be touchy, allowing them to touch me freely without worrying. It's the way I'm and how I act around friends, I accept any comments and anything to be said to me by my friends as long as there are no sexual acts happening. Except that I rarely send pics as I'm not that type, but I tend to wear many different styles around a friend and I wouldn't mind if he commented on what I wear even if i was wearing bikini or bra - panties.

That doesn't mean I'm interested in any friend, it's my personality around friends and i usually don't realise or pay attention if a comment / a move done on me has sexual intentions behind it as I'm way too free with my friends.

Who knows, maybe you're one of my friends without I know lol pm me in case you need more explanation and if it's relatable to your situation.

Well, despite the fact that she has no interest in HIM, his interest and complimentary and dirty talking to HER clearly gives her a vicarious thrill.

However, since this is one-sided, I find it disturbing that the man accepts this, UNLESS he gets HIS thrills from her reactions to his attentions.

There are all kinds of relationships, and if both people are satisfied with the parameters, my thoughts are this works for both well enough. Perhaps one day it won't when the man, woman or both find long-term SOs and move on.

OK. I agree with your first statement. Maybe he thinks she IS interested and he continues. People do react in all kinds of illogical ways, and all kinds of game-playing manners.

Personally, if I'm NOT interested in a man, I don't entertain anything, ESPECIALLY sexual and complimentary comments.

If interested, I give green light signals right away. WHY WASTE TIME? But, as we've both realized, everyone is different and time doesn't seem as valuable to some as to others! If it's you, good luck. If it's a friend, ah well.

I think she just loves the attention she's getting from him. A woman loves to know that she has the special something that draws attention. It's not a bad thing as long as she makes her feelings clear to him.

That’s really it and if you try making it mean more, then you’d not only be ignoring how she’s actually told you she feels, but also calling her a liar.
