Why pink for girls and blue for boys?

Because in the 1940’s, though it was the opposite, pink triangles became associated with gay men as a means to mark them visibly like the star of david patch marked jewish people in Nazi Germany. America, upon seeing this, switched the associated colors for boys and girls. It used to be that blue was an inherently feminine color and pink a more masculine shade. Now it’s the opposite because america didn’t want to be like Nazi Germany. If that’s not the biggest sign that gender is a social construct, I’m not sure what is.
