Hi all! I have been at odds with my husband on this for a year now. Is it considered cheating if a man texts or flirts with a woman long enough to get her to send a nude then kinda friend zone her afterwards? Like to the point of borderline sexting. When I asked my husband if he thought it was cheating he said no it’s he is admiring women’s bodies but has no intent of crossing the line of touching.

What your husband does is called "emotional cheating" and yes, it is full fledged cheating, actually even worse than physical cheating. Why?

Yep. I'd definitely call that behavior cheating.
Just looking at women is one thing, but interacting and flirting is something quite different.
There is a problem with your marriage, girlfriend. He is completely disrespecting you. He knows what he is doing is wrong or he wouldn't do it in secret. But he doesn't care about your feelings. He's not committed to you.

@Skipthebar1 I think that is on the 'ragged edge' of cheating, and maybe EVEN MORE THAN THAT. Were I you, I would not want to tolerate that kind of stuff from your husband. Sending nudes is crossing the line... definitely.

Forget the word "cheat" because that word just encourages silly arguments about whether something is "technically" cheating. Instead, just think about the word "trust." You trust him to respect your expectations for how he will act in a committed relationship, and he hides what he is doing because he knows he is violating your trust. Does that make it a bit more clear?

Here’s a solution. Send one of your male friends a nude pic. Let your husband know “John” asked you for one because he wanted to admire the female body. See how he responds.

I asked if he would want me to do that to him, he said he’s ok with it because I have amazing body. I was horrified. To know he talked to her like he was interested. But my biggest argument is even if he has no intent on touching, the other woman may want more. In this case with his friend, she has been asking him to sneak out and hook up with her.
