Some rejection make no sense?

I usually ignore people at the gym

I've been going to the gym for a while, and there's this girl. She always worked out near me. She smiled and make eye contact.

When I showed up one day she smiled as I walked in the room, but I didn't approach.

After not seeing her for a week and not going for a week. I told myself I would at least ask for her name and introduced myself.

When I saw her, I did just that. Perhaps I was as confident as I could be. I didn'tmakefirm eye contact. I was heavily breathing, trying to regulate myself.

I asked for her name. I wasn't entirely sure where to take the conversation, so I gave me mine and extended my hand for a handshake. She grimace and then said she married, showing me a ring on her finger.

I told her I was introducing myself and went back to working out. The whole interaction made no sense. Why all the smiles and eye contact, only to reject me so quickly?

As for raining on your parade times have changed my friend & times are changing. Back in the day guys used to go up to girls all the time & have simple conversations & girls in return would introduce themselves & talk to you regardless of their relationship status. Nowadays things are different & people are a little weird.

As for gym girls any guy that looks at them is automatically creepy & some girls just want to go to the gym & simply workout without guy after guy hitting on them.

As for you my brother from another mother the second she said she was married & showed you her ring you should of said the following before walking away.

With all honesty I simply wanted to introduce myself & ask you about a machine & although you are married & I feel sorry for your partner now is a good time for me to inform you that you certainly aren’t my type.

Walk away after & I guarantee she will feel like dog shit.

I talked about it with a female friend. She told me that the physical contact might have been too much to ask for if she was married. Even if it was just a simple handshake. That's why friendly, smiles, and talks, but careful to involve physical touch.

she's simply being polite. did you know that men think women are inlove with them when they’re being polite because men could never be polite to someone they dont find attractive. seen so many cases of it.

Today's women are seriously lost. Introducing yourself isn't believing the girl is in love with you. As for her "just being polite", she could have avoided the smile from across the room if she didn’t want to be approached. I wouldn't have introduced myself if she wouldn't have smiled when SHE saw me enter a room. As for men not capable of being polite to someone they don't find attractive, that's a childish thought. If it was all just about being polite she would have just introduced herself and gone with her way.

Smiling when making eye contact is just being polite. She wasn’t asking you to come over, she was being nice.
