Are women literally and truly asexual toward men they don’t find attractive? Like, is their sexual interest completely null if the guy doesn’t have a good face, height, or overall desirability?

Is it asexuality in this case or just wanting to do better? If you were stuck on a island with a man who is unattractive looks and there were no other men would these standards stay?

So the problem with how men understand sexual attraction is that it’s entirely surface level. Yes, it is a very shallow way of being attracted to someone and looks play a large part of that, but behaviors affect attraction as much as appearance. For example, you know how you see fat, conventionally unattractive men with hot girlfriends? It’s because there’s more than just looks involved.


And if a woman is not attracted to a man it’s not “completely asexual” behavior she has, but she just doesn’t notice him, she ignores him, and basically he’s equivalent to that of a child in terms of attraction: a person worthy of friendship but not romance because ew. Asexuality as a sexual orientation is way too complex to use as a convenient label for this behavior, speaking as someone who identifies as asexual.
