What is your opinion on the Menstral Cup?

I walk down the aisle of the store where the sanitary products are for sale, everytime I do my shopping (I have no choice it's the aisle for toiletries etc.), and I've seen the Menstral Cup ridiculously priced, and therefore probably never used.

Probably the store is not the place to buy this item, but I would have thought if the cup was popular there wouldn't be much of a need for the other products.

If this was the case the price of the other sanitary products would increase through a lack of demand.

Do you use the cup method for your periods?

A. I use the Minstral Cup method for my periods.

B. I do not use the Menstral Cup method for my periods.

Does a flashing red light mean a taboo subject?
I think the subject deserves airing even if a male brings up the subject.
I am curious if it is popular device, but that is all it is, fortunately I don't have periods.
I think the sexes need to have some knowledge of each other's health subjects, and that is why I've brought up the subject.

But I think it's like the Northwest Passage, (excuse the pun) there might, or might not be a better shipping route if we search for it.

It's probably more expensive because it's not disposable like the other products are, but even if it was popular the other products would still be needed and cheap. It's like a bidet and toilet paper. Not everyone can install a bidet to their toilet, and lots of people just don't like how one feels. You also can't give a friend your period cup if she forgets to bring hers, or at least I wouldn't. You wouldn't hand it under the bathroom stall for a stranger, that's for sure! Lol! Tampons and pads are much easier and more accessible. That's why they are more popular.

I think the cups are unsanitary because of having to clean them out each time they are used. Disposable products make more sense to me. So they can just be used and then never thought about again. And what about storage between periods? Who would want to hold onto something like that, that has had waste materials in it?

I've tried a menstrual disc because they are a lot smaller than a cup so easier to put in. I still had to use a lot of lube to get it up there and in the right place. I didn't find it comfortable to wear. My uterus is tilted so could be why I had issues. I wouldn't use it all the time but as a back up if i can't get to the store for tampons or whatever then it works good enough for emergencies

I use the cup and reusable pads.

Only refresh my sanitary stock about once a year for guests if in need. Saved me tons of money.

I here of the Menstral cup but never used it. I think it's more popular with the younger generation. It looks ouch to me

I could not have survived the early stages of cancer without it. I won't explain why.

It lasts a year or so which evens the cost. I steam mine in it's own steamer oven.

Per update, it is not super popular where I live. Even the major grocery chain only carries a few different ones.

One of the main ideas around them is that they are more environmentally friendly than tampon or pads which create waste.

Environmentally friendly or not, obviously the consideration is how can females deal with this problem the best way possible.
