Thoughts on some women/girls claiming they’re not like other girls because of ‘something’?

I came across a YouTube Channel. I don’t wanna say her Channel name because I don’t think she meant it deliberately in a misogynistic way. She posted a short on why she’s not like ‘other girls’. She revealed she was called outta her classroom when she’s extremely young, a psychologist accessed her. Turns out her dad received the results and told her she has this ‘condition’. At first it affected her but she became more confident and admitted how that made her feel special and different from other girls. I’m not sure if she’s just carelessly using the phrase ‘not like other girls’ thinking it isn’t offensive or she did it deliberately to piss women and girls off. in my opinion internalised misogyny needs to be rid of including misogyny and misandrist thoughts. This world will be a much happier place if it weren’t so messed up.

Internalized misogyny is kind of the long and the short of it. They identify as women, but they know women are not liked for whatever reason and they crave validation so they say “I’m a woman, but I’m not THAT kind of woman.” So they can differentiate themselves and seem more appealing, or so they think. The reality is they were born into a society that tells them women are inherently lesser than men, and they believe it, but also hate it, but instead of changing their view they work to gain the positive opinion of their “betters” aka men. It’s a bunch of bullshit tbh

The claim is almost always a survival mechanism—a way to cope with negative stereotypes by seeking a temporary exclusion from the “flawed” group. However, it is healthier to realize that you can embrace your unique interests without needing to put down or differentiate yourself from all other women.

Anyone who claims they are special isn't. Truly special people don't believe they are all that much. They just do what they love, and if other people recognize it, great. If not, they will do it anyway.
