Meloni's easy pronunciation, spelling, and rarity make it a suitable name, especially for parents seeking a unique choice not commonly used by others.

Weren't you referring to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giorgia_Meloni ?
- 8 mo
@DryGermanGuy Because Giorgia Meloni is the Prime Minister of Italy, if you Google “Meloni,” it shows ups most often as the last name. However, Meloni is also a girl’s fist name.

8 moThere was a police office in my town growing up whose last name was Meloni, an Italian name pronounced meh-low-nee.
I'm guessing you're thinking Meloni is an alternate spelling of the more common girl's name Melanie.
I personally wouldn't name my daughter that because it may be mispronounced later, especially by teachers, and a kid doesn't need the stress of correcting their teacher.
I knew a couple who named their son Bryon, an alternate spelling of the more common Brian. They later regretted it. Every one of his teachers in school called him Byron, like the poet.
If you like the name, why not use the traditional spelling Melanie?
00 Reply 387 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. Yes! But if you spell it that way, she will always have to spell it each time for people her entire life. Is that okay with you?
In America we spell it Melony, or Melanie.11 Reply
8 moI think it sounds pretty and just out of curiosity I looked up the meaning:
The name Meloni has multiple meanings depending on its origin: it can be a variant of the Greek name Melanie, meaning "dark" or "black," or it can be an Italian name meaning "melons,"
20 ReplyYes, I like that name.
I've known two girls named Melanie in my life, different spelling, but the same phonetic pronunciation, I would guess.
The first Melanie whom I knew was my very first, early childhood crush, from about 5 years of age to 9, when her family moved away from our neighborhood.
I still fondly think of her all these years later.
The other Melanie I met as a teenager, the girlfriend of a friend of mine.
She was a sweetheart, as well.00 ReplyNo, cause it’s looks like you can’t spell ‘MELANIE’ …which is too close to that ‘Dracula-sounding’ vapid bitch 1st lady, MELANIA…. AND it looks too much like the word, ‘BOLOGNA’… or even MELON. You couldn’t possibly think of a better name than that?

8 moI have searched meaning of Meloni it's Italian name, it's Meaning as per Greek origin Black or Dark Skinned, and Grace and Sweetness, and as per Latin origin it's meaning Honey, connected to Roman Goddess Melina, So I think it's Meloni is Good Name for Girl. but it's depends upon you, that you like the name or not.
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. Kind of sounds like the name of some exotic fruit. To be honest. I think you could spell it a bit differently and it would be a nice name for a woman, but the way you've spelled it would just invite mockery from others as she grew up. Giving people unusual names like this can be a very cruel thing and I think most people that do it don't realize what they've done.
00 ReplyYes, Meloni can be a nice name! It has a melodic, modern sound and feels unique without being too unusual. Like any name, it depends on personal taste, but it works well for a girl.

8 moToo trendy and poorly spelt 🍈 lol
She'll be called "meh loney" like a meat 🥓 🍖 not exactly a flattering name at all.
May as well name the woman "Seven" like George in the 1990s Seinfeld, ha

Then again some folks name their offspring such old fashioned names I think to myself "some people just don't have common sense, commonly" enough lol
8 moI would go with the traditional spelling. It looks better on a resume and makes it easier to get a job. Unique names and spelling is associated with lower class

8 moYes, but I prefer the Melanie spelling. I have friends who have names with atypical spellings and the individuality can wear off while the correcting of the spelling gets tedious.
