Incel used to be a shortened form of involuntarily celibate and was actually created by a woman. However, as time went on, she got a boyfriend and formed a relationship. So, she left the "community" she created. Now it's a community of men who are still involuntarily celibate but have decided that they could get women if they looked better, regardless of how they treat women. They decide all women are shallow Staceys and only want to date buff or rich Chads. It's become a sexist community that doesn't take accountability. I'm neither rich nor buff. I also didn't even go on a date until I was 27. I never blamed women for that. However, I've had a girlfriend for over 7 years, because I took accountability for myself. I became introspective and took action to be more attractive to women. I realized that I couldn't attract some women, but every person is different, and I could attract some. I had no problem making friends with girls.

They think it means dumb&ugly. Someone dumb enough to think that getting their genitals wet is the greatest accomplishment they could pursue, and simultaneously is too ugly to get anyone's consent.

In my experience, the definition has expanded much from “involuntary celibate” in the same way “queer” expanded from its original definition of “strange.” Language just does that sometimes, and often quicker than you might expect.

No, but even if they did, being called out for not being able to get laid is not necessarily a bad thing, in my opinion. Indeed, it's a time honored rite of passage for young men.

Yes. Most the types of women that use this term do so with the sole intent of trying to demean these men. So don't be surprised that these women get ir wrong. Their focus is not accuracy.

Sometimes they do.  Incels are guys who resent women for them being virgins.  I'm a virgin but I don't resent women.
