Sorry but I agree with her. It's weird and yeah kinda offensive to refer to your friends by what genitals they had as a baby. Like u don't think it'd be weird for one of your friends to say, essentially, "oh yeah this is my born-with-a-penis friend, MikeyObrien!" Literally just say man and woman if it's a social interaction.
Whether they're a trans or not, they are living as a woman socially, yes? So in social situations like friendships, acquaintances, coworkers etc. It doesn't make sense to refer to them by their birth genitals which nobody may even know and definitely you don't need to bring to attention, instead of just referring to them by how they live & represent themself.
You presumably present yourself as a man, yes? (You do so on GaG anyway.) So people refer to you as one. They don't need to know ur birth genitals to do that, & if they do know it would be weird to then refer to you not as a man despite you living as a man, but instead to refer to you as a born-with-a-penis person.

Because you don't say it to describe anything biologically. Just say "women". We all know what you mean. You don't have to get so technical over approximately 5% of the population, if not less. As of late, many incels have been using the word 'female' to describe all of us women in general, for some reason knowing that it's a cold way to describe us. Don't mask the reason as being to differentiate between biological and transgendered. We all know who you're talking about.
No, but I find the idea of the word "female" and the notion of "biologically female" to be stupid and funny. Biology does not work like that. From my point of view you are all arguing over something we made up in the first place.
Not really offended but it sounds like they're talking about a dog!!
What's wrong with just saying, "girl friend".

Trans women are not female and not women. They don’t fall under the definition.
The definition of female is
of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs, distinguished biologically by the production of gametes (ova) that can be fertilized by male gametes
The definition of woman is an adult human female.
As stated with the word "chick", the word itself is fine. it's the context in which it's said which can determine if its being used in a offensive manner.
No but transwomen are men though. So female, woman, lady, girl, chick are all synonym for a human with XX chromosones, and the bodyparts with it
not offensive but weird, no one really uses male/female unless you actively want to talk about your own pronouns or whatever but yeah... weird not offensive to me
I find this offensive, because it diminishes the word woman. Because now they want to shape the word woman and give it a different definition.
You should have slapped her across the face and explained you're offended by stupidity.
We are women, not "females." You use the word female to describe a lab rat in an experiment, not a human woman.
Nope. And not even offended if you don’t think a trans woman is a woman. We can have our own beliefs.
