Do men have a duty to protect women?

Legally? No. Morally? Under certain circumstances, yes. I recall the sinking of HMS Birkenhead in 1852 where women and children were prioritized for places in the limited availability of lifeboats. The moral basis was that women were valuable breeding stock and the children could be used for cheap labour.

It's a Man's duty to protect his Woman, and close family (daughter, Mom, sister). I don't think it's a Man's duty to protect or help every single women in trouble or in need of help.

Even family or girlfriend you need to set boundary or hold them accountable when they were wrong and taking advantage of you

Its a duty because its family. A man inherently protects his family especially the women in his family.
