I will admit, though, that blonde jokes are funny af. Maybe the reason for "blonde" jokes is because redheads are considered fiery and "brunette" is too generic or because it's too clumsy to say the three syllables. I mean, "dumb brunette's" just doesn't have the same ring. But "blonde" immediately conjures images of bombshells like Marilyn Monroe or Jayne Mansfield who had air head personas.

Hmmm it could be because a couple of famous bimbos were blonde and, for some reason, it generated jokes which then went viral? What's sure is that this cliché is perpetuated through jokes about blonde, making it intergenerational, but when did it start?
