I had a friend in high school who liked being a side chick. She enjoyed the attention men gave her even though they were already in a relationship. She said it made her feel good when a guy would sneak away from his girlfriend just to have a night with her. It made her feel wanted. I didn’t really understand it and it caused her to have drama with his girl which my friend also enjoyed.


As for me, I was seeing a guy for a while when I was in college until I found out he had a girlfriend and was using me as his side chick. I was pissed! He called me dramatic and said it’s not a big deal. I dropped him because I felt disrespected.

The guy is what they deem long term marraige material so are willing to accept no long term commitment because they think that eventually they will get the guy to leave their wife for them, get married have kids but all they get is used in the long term.
