Why are some doctor’s receptionists so rude and unhelpful?

My mom's rheumatology receptionist is a dried old bitch. I asked her why the Dr made an appointment for my mom in a month's time because she's in pain, and she yelled at me saying noooo.

I wish I could slap her around.

And no, she can't go urgent care because she can't walk due to the pain. It's not as easy as you think.

Probably because the doctor is booked until then. I scheduled physical therapy in February, they were booked until May.
