the definition of exotic states different and unique in looks.

if blacks or africans are the most different looking then anyone else. why aren't we considered most exotic?

Exotic is different depending on where you are.

In America, exotic is usually a girl or guy with "mismatched" and unusual features.

For instance, tan skin, brown hair and green almond shaped, wide set eyes or golden skin, dark hair and light eyes

In America when we think exotic, we think Latinas and Asians(eastern Asian). Latinas such as Brazilian or morenas with light eyes and long hair or Asian girls with their almond eyes and long, dark, silky hair.

We usually think mixed because multiracial and biracial children often inherit a different characteristic from each race they're apart of and when it comes together it's all abunch of weird, but beautiful combos.

@UPDATE: Same reasons whites aren't considered exotic. They come with a variety of features and they aren't considered exotic here in America.

i don't think you can be exotic unless you're mixed or at least look like you're mixed, or have completely unique features. everyone has seen full black people before so that's not really exotic, but then again, not all mixed people are exotic either.. your perspective shapes what you feel is exotic

Yes, read what I wrote. For people that I think are exotic they think white girls are exotic because it is foreign to them. Exotic means foreign. A girl like her in India or an Arabic country is exotic.

@update: They are exotic to me (I am a white girl! =D hahaha). It's just that blacks---in the states---are common because they have been here so long. We feel like they American. Anything that is not American is exotic to me, like this, link Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid she is a model from Somalia. She is exotic to me. Eva Pigford is just a beautiful girl to me. Kind of hard for me to explain.

@update: Also, women/men in Holland & Sweden, they love dark people! LOVE THEM! They love their dark skin. It is exotic to them! Here in America, it's just not considered exotic because blacks are natives of America now because of history.

To answer this, you need to first define what is "exotic". Exotic by definition means of foreign origin, not native to the country.

- A Black person would not be exotic to Africa

- A White person to Europe

- An Asian to China

If the country is really diverse in all nationalities and races almost equally than it's likely that to them nothing would be considered exotic. What I consider exotic is what the actual definition of exotic is...

exotic is foreign, not native; strange or different in a way that is striking or

fascinating; strangely beautiful, enticing, etc

so to Americans I guess anything from overseas would do the trick, the less likely you are to run into a person with his/her nationality and the more exotic he/she is imo. in the states we are most likely to consider people from south America or asia as exotic

to some yes I suppose...ive been to africa, and don't really find the women in the country I was in good looking. some of the better africa nationalities are morrocan or ethiopian. women there are beautiful. to each his own. I'm sure different people are attracted to different qualities

They don't have to be really, they can be dark/pale and still look exotic. I think a lot of Ethiopian women look exotic, same as people from the Caribbean.
