Why do men go all out for other women but make no effort for me?

Please don't take this as sexist... I see men around me who value the women they love. For example, my sister's boyfriend gave her a beautiful ring as a gift. You wouldn't believe the things I see... I've even seen men buy vintage Barbie dolls for their wives. From branded makeup to all sorts of surprises, I haven't seen a single one of these things. Forget gifts, they rarely even offer me coffee. I'm not limiting this to money; they don't even want to travel the two-hour journey. That's why I feel unloved. I've become incredibly lonely.

I feel like there’s so many other routes of fulfillment than being spoiled by a man. It’s like those women who get all caught up with getting married by a certain age, along with having babies, when those things are meant to be extensions of an already fulfilling life.


Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand where you’re coming from and have been that mental state before, more times than I can count. But I think it gets to a point where we have to recognize two things: one, just because it hasn’t happened for you yet doesn’t mean it never will. And two, after repeated disappointments, we should stop trying to control the timing of when we will have this experience, and turn our focus elsewhere.


You are struggling with loneliness and essentially feel like a man is the answer to that, when honestly I think you should work on tackling this on your own before bringing a guy into the mix. All he would do in this case is cause you to be codependent, because once you feel like he’s filling that void, you’d never want to let that feeling go and you’d potentially accommodate some sort of nonsense as not to lose this match.


I hope where I’m coming from is making sense, but simply put, I’m saying that rather than focusing on other women’s romantic experiences, just focus on your own life, because comparison is the thief of joy. You will eventually find the guy who goes all out for you, but until then, use this time to work on becoming the best version of yourself.

My income is stable even when I'm not working, the income I get from my Twitter account, which is linked to news, is sufficient. What I mean is, it's not about money, just a little attention and affection. I hope that's clear 🙂 I don't have trouble doing these things on my own... I just want a little attention from a man

On the real though, please stop comparing yourself with others, this is going to lead you on a life on unhappiness. Choose men you want not the potential in them, date out of the area you live, expand your "search" because if you don't, you'll never see a change in men you attract unfortunately. Also, it's okay to be single, you don't need an external being to be happy, they should add to your existing happiness NOT be your happiness.
