This just depends maybe she needed someone to talk to to get through the day, maybe it was customer service, or maybe she liked you. It’s hard to say without being there what was going on.
I have this happen a lot where people want to talk all day I can generally read what the intentions are based on their body language and tone of voice etc. I’ve also never been in a store with that limit
My guess is that she is bored and figured you were someone who might listen to her ramblings. I wouldn't read anything else into her actions unless she does it again, and gets more personal.
Thanks for MHO
Sounds like a helpful person who probably had similar frustrations when she wanted to buy something at a different store at some point in her life.
Nice that you found common ground too though!

Maybe they genuinely enjoyed talking to you or felt a personal connection. Sometimes people just go beyond their usual professional boundaries when they feel comfortable with someone.
She set a professional boundary on me
They don’t go out of their way unless they are attracted to you or they think you’re a real nice guy either way it’s the same thing Almost girls are attracted to good guys
When you say "professional boundaries" was that a restraining order?
