So something I sometimes don't get is why when I make new friends the connection just fades.
For example, I met this girl and she seemed to like me we talked for like an hour after. In the end when I hugged (asked her if she is a hugger) she said let's exchange numbers.
But when I messaged her 2 weeks later - she was lukewarm. When i said if she was busy that's okay but lmk if she ever wanted to grab coffee (thinking she was lukewarm as I was disturbing her) she said for sure but i'll let it finish etc.
Now the thing is I studied for a super intense exam. I get how busy it can be. But her exam is like 8 weeks away. Mine even though I was super busy I met very less with my friends but didn't really brush them off I was super like I'd love to meet but I can't. And I would meet them like once because you're human you need a bit of social outlet too.
I'm not hurt she can't meet. I'm hurt she's not excitedly saying but after it's over let's definitely catch up! etc.

A lot of the time people get caught up in the moment and when they're not in that moment they don't feel the same way
Hmm I know she's not obligated to be friends.
But I was kind of hurt. Do you think she handled that well
She didn't. But I think you need to be strong about it and not give in should she suddenly show interest. Cos then she'll feel like she can come and go as she pleases.
Can I message you? Will show you what she said exactly. I'm confused if I'm over-reading into it or she was just making excuses
Yup of course
Messaged!
Whoops I noticed I have to follow you first. Followed
is this just a friend or somebody you are having a crush on?
Just a friend
Oh ok
